Songs of Praise
....................................................

About 150 people joined the Salvation Army Band in Gisborough Priory on Sunday 18 June for Songs of Praise.

Between the eleven well-known hymns that were sung, the Revd John Henry, minister of Guisborough Methodist Church, provided food for thought for everyone as well as some well-earned breaks.

Some of the audience came armed with chairs and picnic blankets, while some sat on the grass. It was a gorgeously sunny day with clear blue skies all day long, so that many people preferred to sit in the cooling shade of the trees.

Organised by Churches Together, this event was part of Guisborough’s Festival of Song, celebrating the 50th anniversary of the founding of Guisborough Choral Society.
More details about the festival can be found here.

Thank you to the organisers of this event. It was lovely to hear the band playing outdoors on such a beautiful day and to hear so many people joining in the singing.
