Klondike race day
....................................................

For the second year running, the Klondike bike race started and ended in Guisborough.

Thanks to funding from Tees Valley Community Foundation (TVCF) and race organisers, we were able to have a number of activities in Gisborough Priory to complement the race. There was a mini bike obstacle course, soft archery and displays and activities organised by local Sea Cadets and Army Cadets. Some people took part in have-a-go yoga sessions. We launched a new activity trail around the priory and gardens too.

Despite the cold weather, over 1000 people came in to the priory during the day. There were some new ramps at the visitor entrance to help people get in and out more easily, all funded by TVCF. These will be used from now on to make access easier for priory visitors.

TVCF also funded the yoga activity and the printer and supplies that were used to print the new activity trail. We are very grateful for this funding which has allowed us to improve access and develop this new trail.
